Published August 2, 2007

Hmong in America - Federal authorities recently broke up an alleged plot to overthrow the government of Laos that was being planned by local Hmong refugees. Today on Insight, we look at the history of the Hmong in Laos and why they came to the US. Plus, you’ll hear how the local Hmong community feels about the case.

"Gilgamesh" - The world premiere of the play "Gilgamesh," which was supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, opens this weekend at The Short Center Repertory Theatre. Rick Foster, whose credits include "Vivian," the one-woman play that has had national success with local actress Janis Stevens, tells you about the play. Plus, you'll meet director Jim Anderson and actor Brian Hillebert, who plays the title role of Gilgamesh.
